The media organization confirmed it has no connection to these digital currency demands and does not utilize such tactics in its journalism. They have urged targeted entities to verify all communications through official channels immediately.
Authorities are now investigating the impersonators, who are attempting to leverage the credibility of established news institutions to facilitate illicit financial gains through the anonymity of blockchain transactions.
