Hindustan Unilever (HUL) witnessed a significant market correction today, with shares plummeting over 6% following the release of its quarterly financial results. The dip was primarily triggered by a 3% decline in net profit, which settled at Rs 2,673 crore.

While the bottom line took a hit due to the absence of certain one-time tax credits recorded in previous periods, top-line growth remained resilient. The company reported a 10% year-on-year increase in revenue from operations, crossing the Rs 17,000 crore milestone.

Management highlighted strong momentum within the Home Care and Beauty & Wellbeing segments, which served as key growth drivers during the quarter. Despite the immediate market volatility, HUL leadership expressed optimism regarding long-term fiscal trajectories, signaling confidence in an improved performance outlook for the coming years.
